The Learning Community Group has a history of making innovative contributions to education, whether in interdisciplinary curriculum development, technology research, testing and implementation, or introducing web platforms to voice community concerns, news, and artwork. Our past accomplishments are only prologue to what we aspire to become. As we continue to grow, new programs, schemas, and applications are imagined. These ideas progress with the support of the LCG, eventually developing into their own entity within the LCG framework. The World Wide Community Broadcast Network (WWCBN) and the Entrepreneurial Institute (The EI) are two initiatives that are innovated by The LCG.
WWCBN hosts community based organizations’ streaming audio and video content to a worldwide audience 24 hours a day. This model affords these organizations the unprecedented opportunity to deliver their message(s) in an on-demand, rich media format.

The LCG has been hard at work on the Arts Integration Management System (AIMS), a proprietary electronic portfolio and curriculum development solution innovated exclusively by TheLCG. By combining lesson plan and curriculum design tools with extensive electronic portfolio capabilities, theLCG can capture, track and assess all forms of student and teacher data. Now in the early beta stage, the AIMS system is being thoroughly tested at the Holyoke LTMT pilot, specifically to track and document student performance and deliver online testing. Look for more information as this exciting project develops.
The LCG provides organizations with a private communication system for project management and in depth discussion with the LCG forums. Using this system anywhere from 2 to hundreds of registered users are allowed access to private threads where they can post questions and answers on topics of their choosing for every member of the group to see. The forums also act as an excellent communication medium between members of your organization and the LCG. Additionally, every page contained in your groups forum can be converted into an indexed Adobe .PDF creating a record of your discussions for offline and future viewing.
