The World Wide Community Broadcast Network (WWCBN) is one of several initiatives innovated by The Learning Community Group (www.thelcg.com). WWCBN hosts community based organizations’ streaming audio and video*, delivering each organization’s content to a worldwide audience 24 hours a day. This model affords these organizations an unprecedented opportunity to deliver their message(s) in an on-demand, rich media format. WWCBN features a cutting edge user interface which facilitates the process of locating and viewing the desired stream. In addition to having a “channel” on WWCBN’s site, each organization can elect to embed a media player on their own website. *WWCBN is built on Windows Media Services 9, and uses multiple bit rate encoding (MBR) to reach the widest possible audience.     Currently all of the WWCBN's streaming media is encoded in the Windows Media 9 format and should play correctly with Windows Media Player 7.1, 8 and 9 series players. Both PC and Mac users should download the most current player from the Microsoft web page.
